Nuestra historia
En el 2015 varixs jovenes soñamos con crear un espacio donde podamos experimentar desde el audiovisual y las luchas transfeministas.
En Lima, se inició este sueño. Como todo proceso colectivo ha ido transmutando y en el 2017 abrimos nuestra casa cultural feminista en Huancayo; La Munay. Ahí empieza la transición de empezar a crear fuera de Lima y apostar por tejer nuestros procesos creativos y desobedientes en Huancayo y más adelante Ayacucho.
En el 2020 toma su rumbo, Brunito, quien fue gestor y creador trascendental para Chola Contravisual. Y ese año inicia el caminar de Chola, fuera de Lima totalmente y con el ingreso de Wen, se aviva el fueguito de nuestros corazones Quechuas.

Creative Director and General Production
From a young age, I have been deeply involved in cultural and artistic pursuits, working alongside my mother and her musical project “El duo las Salcabambinitas” and co-founding Chola Contravisual. With over a decade of experience advocating for human rights, I have passionately envisioned and coordinated various creative projects. As an artivist, I have used film to amplify important messages about land rights, ancestral connections, and the defense of TTTLGBIA+ rights. I am dedicated to weaving networks, fostering alliances, and promoting spiritual and collective care. Additionally, I am excited to release soon my first feature-length documentary, "Flor Pucarina, Rebelde Hasta Los Huesos."

Wen (She/Her)
Audiovisual creation and cultural management
Audiovisual creator and Ayacucho anthropologist, cultural manager based on the community, working from the care and respect for existences in their diversity, believing that life can be sustained through the arts and rebellion against colonialism, feeling music as a space of resistance for our peoples and territories. Being a countervisual cholita since 2020, coordinating and co-creating spaces for meetings, screenings, cultural events, and making short films linked and connected with the Andean and native communities, she also does audiovisual montage and editing, sound and camera. I love attending the various festivities of our peoples and making sound recordings of the songs and music, also recording the subtle things that happen in the daily life of the day to day and playing my guitar and charanguito.

I live in Lima and my blood is from Canteño, Tarmeño and Chincha, because those are the origins of my grandparents. I practice Nichiren Buddhism, but I also ritualize from other spiritual worlds such as the Andean worldview, Hinduism, among others. I am pansexual, non-binary gender, sometimes an animal and other times I do not exist because I am in the future. I was in Chola Contravisual from the beginning, recording, editing and designing. Currently, I am in charge of social networks and the web. I have a very strong connection with technology, visuals and sound.

He also captures the essence of semi-underground concerts in the City of the Dead. His focus is on capturing fleeting moments, as for him, the present is a 3-second blink, and what follows is just memory.
L. Emperatriz Placido San Martín
Tattoo artist, visual artist, writer, book editor, and teacher, Emperatriz lives in grey Lima. Her work spans various artistic and educational disciplines, strongly focusing on creativity and personal expression in her visual and literary work.
Jesús Sosa Lozada Inin Soi
As a spiritual companion and co-manager of the SAMAKUY project, Jesús is dedicated to processes of sensory and spiritual regeneration within the collective. He is a medium, artist, spiritual guide, healer, and community educator. His work seeks to support others in their healing and reconnection with their internal and spiritual senses.
MUTAR TALLER
Located in Valparaíso, Chile, MUTAR TALLER is dedicated to audiovisual, graphic, and textile creation. With a focus on sensitive experimentation, the studio seeks new ways to explore creativity and expression through interdisciplinary artistic mediums.
Apolo
Director, Director of Photography, Producer, Editor, and Colorist, Apolo is a Quechua-Ayacuchan filmmaker whose work focuses on questioning social, cultural, and environmental issues. He draws on Andean principles of reciprocity such as Ayllu, Ayni, and Yanantin, seeking to reflect these values in his audiovisual and cinematic projects.
Merce
Co-manager and weaver of the SAMAKUY project, Merce is a Quechua-descendant butch born in Cusco. They identify as a community healer, emotional support provider, psychologist, and anti-racist poet. Their work focuses on emotional healing and collective work, always with a critical perspective that honors their Andean roots.
Esthefania Rodríguez
Part of the research and creation team for the LlaqtaYmi UkuyPi Rawran project, Esthefania is a communicator, content creator, multifaceted artist, and anti-racist feminist. She lives in Huancayo and focuses on the fight against social inequalities through the production of critical and engaged content.
Antiturista
Known as La Antiturista, Fiorella is an enthusiast of audiovisual arts, music, dance, and anthropology. Her work spans Lima and southern Ayacucho, and she is currently participating in the LlaqtaYmi UkuyPi Rawran project, where she researches and creates around Andean culture and arts.
Kokakintu
Dedicated to graphic creation, Kokakintu uses their art to explore and communicate various social and cultural themes. Their visual style reflects a commitment to graphic art as a medium of expression and resistance.
ESTUDIO NÓMADES
Based in Huancayo, Peru, ESTUDIO NÓMADES is dedicated to audiovisual creation, sound design, and music composition. Their creative approach spans various artistic areas, exploring the fusion of sounds and visual narratives for cultural and community projects.
Agatha
Co-manager and weaver of the SAMAKUY project, Agatha is an artist, witch, therapist, astrologer, and educator working from Lima, Peru. Their approach is deeply critical, moving away from traditional colonial narratives to propose new perspectives on healing, education, and art.
